Coinciding with LGBTQ Pride Month, the Queer Critique Group at Baxter St / CCNY  is releasing the book WILDNESS. The book–and accompanying exhibition at Baxter St’s Project Space–features works by eleven photo-based artists who are members of the QCG as well as 5 original writings by contributing photographers, artists and curators Allen Frame, Katie Hubbard, Duane Michals, Nandita Raman, and Drew Sawyer.

WILDNESS is inspired by Jack Halberstam’s book Wild Things: The Disorder of Desire.  In keeping with the spirit of the text, the members of the Queer Critique Group were encouraged to interpret wildness in their own creative ways.

Photographers include Chris Berntsen, Ali Di Luccia, Liz Liguori, Michael McFadden, Ellie Musgrave, Marc Ohrem-Leclef, Dr. Picturesque, Kaz Senju, Jeanette Spicer, Bill Travis, Sam Zalutsky.
